Building a Materials Brand

Our goal is to make Binowa™ a materials brand that people choose by name.

We want people seeking higher performance and environmental benefits to choose products because they are made with Binowa™.

The World of Behomal

“The global environment” is a vast idea.

Even when we know it matters, it can feel like a distant concern.
Can one person really make a difference?
The Earth is so vast, and environmental challenges so complex, that it is easy to feel this way.

That is why we decided to start with the individual—with each of us.

The star at the center of Behomal’s logo represents a hero who helps save the Earth.
It does not stand for someone extraordinary.
It represents every person who chooses to take even a small action for the environment.

From that star, circles spread outward.

First, to the people around us.
Then, to the circulation of resources—keeping things in use instead of throwing them away.
And beyond that, to a beautiful global environment.

The global environment may seem distant, but change always begins with the small actions of each of us.

The name “Behomal” combines “Behoma,” a healing spell, with “Maru,” meaning a circle, which represents the Earth, resource circulation, and human connections.

We want to restore the Earth’s environment.
We want to restore the circulation of resources.
We want to restore connections between people.

We brought these aspirations together in a name that is memorable, distinctly Japanese, and uniquely our own.

Our vision is: “Let’s Become Heroes Who Save the Earth.”

These words express a shared invitation to act.
Everyone can choose a small step in their daily life that helps restore the planet.
That step can expand our human connections, bring resources back into circulation, and eventually help restore the Earth’s environment.
This is the society we hope to create.

“Binowa” gives these aspirations a tangible form—as a material.

Binowa takes its name from “美,” meaning beauty, as in a beautiful environment, and “環,” meaning a ring or cycle, connecting the Earth, resource circulation, and human relationships.
Cyclodextrin, the plant-derived material we work with, is itself a ring-shaped molecule known as a cyclic oligosaccharide.

The circles of connection that Behomal values, and the ring structure within the material itself.

These two ideas come together in the name Binowa.

Binowa is a material that acts on things we cannot see, including CO₂ and odors in the air.
Little by little, it changes the air around us—something we rarely notice in our daily lives.
Everyday products, plastics, foams, shoes, and building materials.
We bring opportunities for beautiful cycles into the things around us.

DAC Plastics are plastics that absorb CO₂ directly from the atmosphere.
The name reflects our ambition to turn everyday plastics into CO₂ capture points.

MOF Foam™ is a new functional foam material that applies the capabilities of MOFs to foamed materials. It was developed as a foam whose hardness, resilience, interaction with air, and environmental properties can be tailored.

Behomal, Binowa, DAC Plastics, and MOF Foam™.

Different names, all connected by the same philosophy.

To bring the Earth closer to our everyday lives.
To make environmental contribution an ordinary part of living.
To create more opportunities for restoration in daily life.
To build a society where everyone can take action, starting right where they are.

The heroes who save the Earth are already among us.

People who thoughtfully choose the things they buy and use.
People who try to keep used materials in circulation.
People who bring new materials into society.
People who invite others into this growing circle.

Each of these people is a hero in Behomal’s eyes.

Through the power of materials, we will gradually make everyday life a place where restoration happens.

From human connections to resource circulation.
From resource circulation to the Earth’s environment.

Turning small circles into beautiful cycles.

Behomal is a company dedicated to restoring the Earth, the circulation of resources, and the connections between people.

重なるFには、Function(機能)、Filler(粉末・フィラー)、Future(未来)、Fantastic(素晴らしい)などの意味を込めています。
